Thots from the BToS. Friday, January 30, 2015. SUPER BOWL - Not Watching It. I won't be watching the Super Bowl this Sunday. I don't think I've really watched a Super Bowl since the last time the Redskins were in it. In the past, I recorded the Super Bowl with my TiVo DVR and would scan through it when it was about due to be over. Governor Anthony Brown seems a bit analogous to the Democrat situation in 2002 when Republican Bob Ehrlich defeated Democrat Kathleen Kennedy Townsend for Governor of Maryland after the Parris Glendening governorship fiasco. JD, here in the BToS who's already voted during early voting in Howard County. Make sure you cast your ballot November 4th.

Thots from the BToS. Monday, November 19, 2012. Thanksgiving - Light or Dark Meat. I gotta admit that when Thanksgiving comes around I go for the dark, flavorful turkey meat first. I believe that at our family dinners over half the people go for the tasty dark meat instead of the less tasty breast meat. Click for larger image. Yes, foods we eat are just the result of habit, just like most other things in our lives. It's difficult to change old habits, especially for old folks like me. Just Like Old Times.

Thots from the BToS. Friday, December 26, 2014. Family Adults - No gifting after 21. I have a 'NO GIFTING' arrangement with my three children. I don't purchase gifts for them and they don't purchase gifts for me for holidays, birthdays, etc. A card will suffice. Beginning January 1, 2015, my oldest grandchild (he's 21) joins the no gifting situation also. We'll see how it works out with him. JD, resting up after an enjoyable Christmas here in the BToS.
