Adrasteia's Labyrinth: What is real?
http://adrasteiaslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2015/05/what-is-real.html
Monday, May 11, 2015. Sometimes I wonder if they were really there, the patient and its nurse. I've heard from other (saner) people that their presence in a bookstore was impossible. Who in their right mind would allow a nurse to wheel a burn victim covered in oozing, bloody bandages and no hands into a bookstore? Especially if the patient's face was completely bandaged so s/he couldn't read anyway. And where would they have come from? Driven from a hospital? There is no hospital right near the bookstore.

Adrasteia's Labyrinth: October 2014
http://adrasteiaslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 27, 2014. Labels we give ourselves or are slapped on us by others. Things we tell ourselves in the dark hours of the night. Or in the light of day, sometimes disguised as light, self-deprecating jokes. Add on a few for my particular flavor of mental illness: liar, bitch, manipulative, disappointing, attention whore, psycho, freak, and so forth. Friday, October 24, 2014. Pretty sure this is Photoshopped (at least, I HOPE it is), but it's accurate regardless. Wednesday, October 22, 2014.

Adrasteia's Labyrinth: May 2015
http://adrasteiaslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 29, 2015. Going dark for a little bit. Please do not be offended, anyone. I PROMISE IT IS NOT YOU. I've been having a lot of anxiety lately, having a hard time sleeping, and I need to calm the hell down. I'm going to try to have a weekend without any technology other than my Kindle to read books on. No emails, no texts, none of that. Again: NOT ANYONE'S FAULT. Enjoy your weekend. I'm going to do my damnedest to enjoy mine. Thursday, May 28, 2015. Better. Most definitely better. Apparently no ...

Adrasteia's Labyrinth: November 2014
http://adrasteiaslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 26, 2014. On the wings of swans and Nyx. I have recently fallen in love with the artwork being produced in a particular Etsy shop. The name of the shop is Zoa Chimerum Jewelry. I adore their pieces. They're amazing to me. I don't know if you all will find them as beautiful as I do, but I thought I'd share anyway. My favorites:. Mussorgsky ring, an homage to that composer's gorgeous Night on Bald Mountain. Tchaikovsky ring, so named for its white spirals and their allusion to Swan Lake.

Adrasteia's Labyrinth: Royal Empress
http://adrasteiaslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2015/05/royal-empress.html
Friday, May 08, 2015. I've been too exhausted to blog of late, so this will be short. I finally figured out what that tree in the backyard with the tons of purple flowers and giant leaves is: a royal empress. Here's what the flowers look like:. After the flowers are done, you get the massive leaves. Then you get seed pods. These trees drop stuff all year long, but damn if they aren't gorgeous. Anyway, I hope it lives! We shall see. Enjoy your weekend, all. It is so beautiful! 3 I love that tree, darling!

Adrasteia's Labyrinth: December 2014
http://adrasteiaslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. I caved and ate a bit last night. Not a ton, but a small-normal amount of food for a dinner, mostly vegetables. I was getting a little shaky. Back on the tea wagon today! I'm mentioning my lapse on this blog as a source of accountability for myself.). The strings on a cello are ADGC (from highest to lowest), which I remember with All Dogs Go to Carnivals. Ahhh, mnemonic devices.how much I owe you! Now if only I possessed some patience. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. Yes That IS...

Adrasteia's Labyrinth: April 2015
http://adrasteiaslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 30, 2015. Can't climb without getting a little banged up, and here is the proof of my rock shenanigans:. Left leg on Monday after the Saturday climb. Left thigh. This has since turned a lovely dark purple. The bruise on my right leg, about 5" up from my ankle. Not sure why it isn't more purple in this picture. Totally worth it. lol. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Well, one rock. But it was a big one, so it's practically plural. I'm still pretty banged up from the climb, but it was soooo worth...

Adrasteia's Labyrinth: September 2014
http://adrasteiaslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. But at least I have an appointment with a surgeon for tomorrow at 2pm. Cross your fingers. Friday, September 26, 2014. They gave me another CT since I had the fever, and thankfully I'm not abscessed, just REALLY inflamed. They pumped me full of IV antibiotics, gave me dilaudid for the pain, and then a whole bunch of anti-nausea stuff for the incredible desire to puke brought on by the dilaudid. SIGH. If I am slow returning your texts/emails/phone calls this weekend, I apologiz...

Adrasteia's Labyrinth: August 2014
http://adrasteiaslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 31, 2014. You know those shitty days where you wake up and you just know. It's going to suck? Following that, you weigh yourself and discover that you're fatter than you think you are, swear to never eat again until you're thinner, then promptly develop a craving for coffee and bagels. And you can't even expiate your guilt today, because they're closed. And. Meanwhile, as you're ruminating on this whole situation, you occasionally stare at your latest art and make mental notes on everythin...

Adrasteia's Labyrinth: Man, I love buggy mods
http://adrasteiaslabyrinth.blogspot.com/2015/05/man-i-love-buggy-mods.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Man, I love buggy mods. Last night we were playing Grand Theft Auto V, and came across a mod someone had made and inserted into the multiplayer game world. It was incredibly buggy and clipping an awful lot, but it was AWESOME. For the record:. Most sandbox/roleplaying games these days include construction kits so players can create their own stuff and play with it in the game world. It is indeed spectacular. I was hoping youd show this to the world! XD Totally fucking awesome!
