We ate lunch here, including delicious crab cakes. Great shipping vessels used to carry loads of cotton from here to London and elsewhere for manufacturing. A japanese kid took this photo for us in front of iconic image of Savannah, the landmark Forsythe fountain. This is the best walking area I can imagine. Getting Around in Savannah, Ga. 75-minute tours with on-off priviledges with 12 stops. This is a neat way to get around and see the historic district. Only possible of course in a compact area like this. We rode all day long. They have a couple dozen stops so you can walk around and catch the next bus. I'm sure people saw similar sights generations ago on this same stretch of Bull street. Two hour tours all around. Patti and Black Mare.
