Loving life and my road bike. September 1, 2016. DALMAC day two: never-ending wind makes it a challenge. Second 70 mile day with wind that just wouldn’t quit. Hills, too. As the day wore on, I moved to the small ring. Just didn’t have the gas to power up after 60 tough miles. I think we’re going to sleep well tonight. We rolled through tiny towns today. Fun little lunch stop in Lake George where we inhaled our meals! Looking forward to a shorter riding today tomorrow! DALMAC day one: off to the races.

The alarm was unwelcome because it meant braving the cool temps to dress and walk to breakfast. We pondered: leg warmers? I went for arm warmers and leg warmers and full gloves. Loving life and my road bike. Daily Archives: August 31, 2016. August 31, 2016. DALMAC day one: off to the races. We were greeted by cloudy, overcast skies early this morning. But no rain. It didn’t take long for the clouds to burn off and the sun to shine. While not an official stop, cyclists flock to Sweetie-luscious in DeWitt for fabulous treats. Had to have a piece of that action. It certainly slowed us down from a more typical pace. Arrived in Vestaburg mid-afternoon, grabbed a shower and then dinner.
