What Happens to Recycled Items? Bins set up for a plastics recycling drive in Helena. Recycling is a major part of decreasing your impact on the Earth. By recycling, the amount of waste sent to a landfill is greatly decreased, as well as the number of raw materials being mined and collected for use in manufacturing.
