Save Lea Marshes (SLM) began as the Save Leyton Marsh campaign group, opposing the construction of a temporary basketball training facility for the 2012 Olympic Games. The group has now broadened its focus and is campaigning to ensure that all the Lower Lea Valley marshes -. Tottenham Marsh, Walthamstow Marsh, Leyton Marsh and Hackney Marshes -.
