What is save our sight? More than 70,000 New Zealanders aged 40 years and older have glaucoma. At least half do not know they have it. Untreated, glaucoma will cause loss of sight. But it can be treated…. and blindness can be avoided. According to the World Health Organisation 75% of blindness in the world could have been prevented. To treat serious eye disease, such as glaucoma, and prevent vision loss it is vital that the disease is found early. Save Our Sight health message 2014.

When Ohioans apply for or renew their license plates, they will be asked if they want to contribute $1. To the fund and it will be added to their fee. Protective eyewear for youth sports and school activities and preventing eye injuries. Support to children with amblyopia (lazy eye) through the Ohio Amblyope Registry.
