Soon to be Grob MD. A look into the life of a young woman training to become a physician. Sunday, May 10, 2009. It meant so much to me that he understood what a rough night of call can feel like and that he gave me time to relax before I talked about my day. And the fact that he did this all while he is on his ENT AI makes me feel just that much more special. I feel so lucky to have such a caring, thoughtful, and understanding fiance! I think that we make a great team. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Instead, in OBGYN my patients were having emergency C-sections to rescue their babies or exploratory laparotomies to remove a suspected cancer followed by hysterectomies. I loved the importance and meaning of everything I did in the OR. I loved that afterwards, I got to really talk with my patients and help them understand what happened in the OR and why. November 11, 2013. It is my sad duty to share that Elizabeth “Lissa” McKinley, M.D.,M.P.H., founding dean of the Emily Blackwell Society and a treasured member of our school community, died Saturday. After a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Robert “. Gilkeson, M.D., a professor of radiology at Case Western Reserve, son, Will, and daughter Katie, as well as legions of physicians whom she taught to listen, hear, and heal. In 2006, and twice by. And again this year.

The day that I never thought would come is here- my first day of work as a MD! Or least it will be here tomorrow. YIKES! Will I be smart enough? What if I'm not ready? And how cool- I get to do what I love doing everyday!
