Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill: Amanda's first show!
http://shellyct.blogspot.com/2009/05/amandas-first-show.html
Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Sunday, May 17, 2009. My daughter attended her first horse show today! She did great, First Place in Equitation, Second Place in Pleasure, and Fourth in ground poles. Is that a school pony? I know you're so proud :). May 18, 2009 at 7:14:00 AM EDT. Yup, she's a school pony. Great little pony, I want to scoop her up and bring her home and save her from all the kids with bad hands and hard butts! May 18, 2009 at 7:29:00 AM EDT. Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill: Where I've Been
http://shellyct.blogspot.com/2010/07/where-ive-been.html
Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Wednesday, July 21, 2010. There's an echo in here. I think I see one little face way in the back. Hi there! I'm still here, sort of, but in a much different place than I was when I started this blog. The story goes like this. Was I looking for work? I had an interview the next day (a Friday), which wasn't really an interview but more of a "We need you, will you please work for us? And started on Monday. So in case you thought I fell off the face of the earth, I h...

Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
http://shellyct.blogspot.com/2009/04/good-bad-and-ugly.html
Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. I rode Lakota for a short while yesterday, and we had a les than stellar day. She was a little resistant, and I wasn't sure if it was her mood, or I was being conflicting. So when I had the chance to take her out again today, I was excited. The kids are off school this week, so I don't have to meet any school buses, and have the luxury of time after work. Let me tell you, that was NOT easy, I was that sti...

Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill: Busy, busy!
http://shellyct.blogspot.com/2009/06/busy-busy.html
Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Saturday, June 27, 2009. I'm proud of it, we have worked hard on it, so that it reflects exactly what we are about, gives the information that we want to put out there, while still being concise and eye-catching. www.bethanychiropractic.com. There is a saying, what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. All joking aside, I think these times make you look harder at what is truly important. Keep on dreaming! July 19, 2009 at 9:55:00 AM EDT. Saving Leroy: March and April, 2008
http://savingleroy.blogspot.com/2008/08/march-and-april-2008.html
Friday, August 1, 2008. March and April, 2008. The dentist came in April and saw him. Leroy wasn't too thrilled at first, but James Cormier. At the end of April, we've had some bizarre weather with 70's on up to 80F, then late April its back down to 20's at night, and 40's during the day with rain. The other morning, I found Leroy shivering in the rain! Leroy's mane and forelock are also growing by leaps and bounds! Here are a couple of pics from late April, of the old man doing what he does best. Eat.

Saving Leroy: 11/13/07

Friday, August 1, 2008. Photos from the next morning. Now I can see in the daylight that Leroy is VERY underweight. His spine and withers are protruding, you can count every rib, and he has absolutely no muscling to his hindquarters at all, he is just bones. He also has a big "wattle" of skin hanging off his neck, where its obvious he had a big, cresty draft neck at some point in his life. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe To Saving Leroy. Friday, August 1, 2008. I stretched my hand out for Leroy to sniff me like I do every day, and he seemed interested. I went to stroke his head, and he gave me that snarky lip thing like "If you touch me, I'll nip you! I told him that was rude, and let him be. But later on that night, I got a nicker when I came out with hay! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Subscribe To Saving Leroy. Musings from the Bottom of Chestnut Hill. Saving Leroy: 1/2/08
http://savingleroy.blogspot.com/2008/08/1208.html
Friday, August 1, 2008. Well the Holidays have kept me from updating, but I think we are at the point where we don't need daily or weekly updates anymore ;-). He stands around eating his hay, but when I'm feeding the girls, and he's waiting for his meal, he has this little circular path that he paces waiting for his food. This IS progress, believe it or not! He is also getting pushy for his food! I finally had to yell: "I will NOT get in an argument with a Draft, get over to your spot, NOW!
