Help my mom Sherry beat Cancer! Thursday, January 6, 2011. Testing and the official diagnosis. Since Thanksgiving my mom has had numerous tests. CAT scans, PET scans, blood work, lung biopsies, thyroid biopsies, and next up tomorrow on 1/7 lymph node biopsies. From these tests here is what we know:. Confirmed the official diagnosis of non-small cell carcinoma of the left lung, upper lobe. Pet Scans of the brain. Were done right before Christmas and all came back clear!
