How to Support Us. Shop for Savong Gear. The Savong Student Center. To sponsor a student. To live at the center, $75/month covers food, a portion of the utilities and some miscellaneous items. Each student is also given a small allowance which can be used for books, clothing or extra food. Tuition fees are separate and cost $65/month. If you are interested in helping out with any of these expenses either as one time donation or as a recurring gift, you can donate here. The Amazing Year in Photos.

How to Support Us. Shop for Savong Gear. The Student Water Pump Project. The Student Water Pump Project. Is a sustainable project which will provide the community with much needed water pumps. A source of clean water is something that many families have difficulty getting access to in the Cambodian countryside. Our students will benefit and the community will benefit. This is a win-win situation! The cost to build a water pump is $285 which includes the ceramic filter and all the necessary training.

Savong’s dream of bringing free English language instruction to rural Cambodia started to take shape in 2004 when he met two visitors from Japan, Yoshikazu Tsuji and Makoto Kimura, and a visitor from New Zealand, Duncan Stuart. Together they formed the initial support that led to the construction of the Savong School in 2005. Savong lives with his wife and three children in Siem Reap. Global project visit to Cambodia. The Savong Student Center facility is where the boys live. We purchased computers, desks and chairs for their new computer room and they placed a plaque outside the door recognizing HTWFC as the donor. We also bought a bike for one of the boys.
