Jesus doesn't want His followers to be like hypocrites, we should be different. Our lives should be lives of authenticity. Jesus repeated this over and over again in three different sets of religious activities. Authentic Christian integrity involves both the relationship and discipleship. It's about a relationship, but there are regular disciplines we need to make in our life in order to grow in God. Do our motives matter? As followers we shouldn't advertise our giving by drawing attention to yourself.

Crockpot Beef and Broccoli. Crockpot recipe #25 is beef and broccoli. I served this over rice and with a side of fruit. Crockpot Beef and Broccoli. 1 pound boneless beef chuck roast, sliced into strips (this is the hardest part! 1 c beef consumme. 1/2 c soy sauce. 1/3 c brown sugar. 1 Tbsp. sesame oil. 1 Tbsp. garlic powder or 3 garlic cloves, minced. 2 Tbsp. cornstarch. Broccoli florets or broccoli cuts (fresh or frozen). Place sliced beef in crockpot. Pour this over the beef. Cook on LOW for 6-8 hrs.

A couple weeks ago, Awana started at our church. Kids can start this when they're 3 years old which means Madelyn was able to start this fall. She loves it! I do too. We've been completing her workbook every week. This includes a story, bible verse to memorize, games, snacks and a few other activities. About a week and 1/2 ago, Tim, the kids and I flew down to Arkansas to surprise my mom. She turned a big number on the 10th of this month. My dad called me several months ago with a plan to fly us down there to surprise her. We couldn't go on her actual birthday so we went almost a week after, which probably was MORE of a surprise. We didn't tell the kids about the trip until the morning we flew out. They were so excited to say the least! Waiting for the plane. On the train at DFW. Waiting for our bags.
