A History of a North Texas Town. Welcome to SavoyTexas.org, an ever growing resource dedicated to preserving the history of our little North Texas town. Savoy is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 56 and Farm Road 1752, on the Missouri Pacific line ten miles west of Bonham in extreme west central Fannin County, Texas. Up on the roof. Help us share our latest. The Savoy is situated at the heart of Tonyrefail in the Rhondda Valleys, South Wales. Built in 1914 as a picture house, it served Tonyrefail and surrounding areas for many years. It has been closed for the past ten years. Prior to its closure it operated as a bingo hall. Following the loss of our rented premises we decided to move elsewhere. We will be providing state of the art technical facilities whilst offering a friendly, professional and affordable venue.
