It Began in Camp 4--old blog: 2010 in Review
http://snakedike.blogspot.com/2010/12/2010-in-review.html
Monday, December 27, 2010. At the end of 2009, I did a post to wrap up the year. Seeing as how the end of 2010 is upon us, it seemed appropriate to make up a new list:. Josh successfully defended his dissertation in January. And began a quilting 101 series in February. A little thing called "Secora" got in the middle of my grand plans with these, but they are nearing completion). We found out I was pregnant in March. Hyperemesis hit and hit hard in April. It Began in Camp 4--old blog: Quilt-Step One
http://snakedike.blogspot.com/2010/02/quilt-step-one.html
Monday, February 22, 2010. I've had so many people ask for posts and pictures of our quilt making process, that I'm going to do a series of posts showing everything step by step. Unfortunately, my camera is very nearly dead, so I can't really get started just yet. We got a new (and much better! About diagnosing and fixing tension problems. The first quilt we're making is from American Patchwork and Quilting magazine and is called scrap happy. You can see a finished picture. Quilt Step One: Planning.

It Began in Camp 4--old blog: Yellowstone
http://snakedike.blogspot.com/2010/07/yellowstone.html
Monday, July 12, 2010. Okay, perhaps a little. And a Great Wolf Lodge. We have a weekend in mind, but nothing is set in stone yet. But let's move on to the pictures! On the way, we passed this great sign. At first, all I could think was "wisdom, thataway", but then Josh pointed out the sign for Salmon and now it just reminds me of the "if you give a man a fish" maxim."if you want fish, go straight, if you want to learn how to fish, turn left". You want me to stick two thumbs up like this? I'll admit, I'm...

It Began in Camp 4--old blog: Goals for 2011
http://snakedike.blogspot.com/2010/12/goals-for-2011.html
Tuesday, December 28, 2010. Let's face it, New Years Resolutions never work out too well. But goals.with a measurable objective and a regular progress update, that's another matter entirely. So I'm going to try my hand at planning, and sticking to, a few goals for 2011. Save at least 10% of our income. This means cold, hard, emergency fund cash. Paying towards student loans or the mortgage doesn't count. Only money that is specifically transferred to a separate account we have that we never touch. I plan...

It Began in Camp 4--old blog: The End of a Decade
http://snakedike.blogspot.com/2009/12/end-of-decade.html
Thursday, December 31, 2009. The End of a Decade. I'm reading all these 2009 wrap up posts on blogs, so why not, let's review 2009! We played in the sprinklers in January. I ranted from my soapbox about HENRYs in February. And then processed and stored. A small flock of meat birds in March. Sedona got a UTI (and a 105 fever) in April. We had a delicious meal made entirely with our own food in May. We had a big. Sedona stopped all activity at the local Chick-Fil-A and got rushed to the ER in July.

It Began in Camp 4--old blog: Our Latest Trip--Part I
http://snakedike.blogspot.com/2010/08/our-latest-trip-part-i.html
Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Our Latest Trip- Part I. So, for our latest adventure, we decided to load up the car and drive to the west coast. This was roughly 9-10 hours each way and we only had 3 days to do it (plus squeeze in the fun stuff we had planned). It was doable, but would've been more fun with more wiggle room. Oh, and I was just sitting at the picnic table when I took this:. Finally, we made it to Seattle. We had enough reward points for a cheap hotel room, so we opted to do that and have ...

It Began in Camp 4--old blog: Our Latest Trip--Part II
http://snakedike.blogspot.com/2010/08/our-latest-trip-part-ii.html
Thursday, August 5, 2010. Our Latest Trip- Part II. They did really well. Earlier that morning, we had packed up everything and laid out each person's dry clothes, so when we got out of the water, we went back to our room, changed, ran the swimsuits through that cool suit spinner and checked out. In my defense, given our history (check out the "Trip That Started It All" link on the left-hand side when you have some time to read), Josh really should've known that my time estimates would be off. The same a...

It Began in Camp 4--old blog: Warning, Extremely Long Post!
http://snakedike.blogspot.com/2010/05/warning-extremely-long-post.html
Friday, May 28, 2010. Warning, Extremely Long Post! I has a happy….and a sad…and a happy…and a sad. I double checked and both her old antibiotic and her new one are effective against strep, plus the dosages for treating ear infections are higher than what you give for strep. So I’m thinking it must be viral or a secondary fungal infection? She definitely has the ear infection too….not thinking there’s a point in visiting a doctor because what else would they do? It Began in Camp 4--old blog: Still Here, Just Tired
http://snakedike.blogspot.com/2010/09/still-here-just-tired.html
Thursday, September 16, 2010. Still Here, Just Tired. I am still here, just tired and not much to report anyway. The girls and I have been on our own for 12 days now and we're settling into a routine. As usual, we all get along much better if we stay somewhat busy. My children get stir crazy if you keep them inside and then they make me crazy. A random collection of thoughts (some my own and some are things I've read recently):. Can be a lot of work and also natural and easy. It's completely worth it...

It Began in Camp 4--old blog: Q is for Quilt
http://snakedike.blogspot.com/2010/02/q-is-for-quilt.html
Saturday, February 20, 2010. Q is for Quilt. Served a purpose and that purpose was not to hang in a gallery somewhere. I like looking at pretty quilts, I'm just not interested in spending the time and resources to make one. I'll keep my eye out for pretty fabric scraps on sale and take my friends up on offers to go through their scrap bins, but I just can't bring myself to pay $16/yd (or more! Posted by The Hills. This is an area where I need some mentoring, for sure! February 20, 2010 at 10:10 AM. Umm i...
