We arrived here late on the afternoon of 15th July to find 0-4-4-0T 99 582 waiting with our train, and just time for a couple of photographs before depature. For most of the outward journey the swirling steam was obscuring much of the train but it cleared long enough for a couple of photographs. At the passing loop near the far end of the line there was time for more photographs while the loco ran round. This page created 25th August 2002. This page has been visited.

Freital Potschappel to Kurort Kipsdorf. Sunday 14th July 2002. We arrived at Freital Potschappel at 8.45 to find Meyer 0-4-4-0T 99 1608-1 standing right by the entrance. After a few minutes it moved off to couple up to our train. We then travelled a short way along the dual gauge track, complete with overhead wires, before making the first photostop. Our next stop was Freital-Hainsberg where 2-10-2T. Near Malter we had another runpast over the Windbrucke. A stop for water was made at Dippoldiswalde.

Making a dream a reality. Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. October 13, 2014. Shearing time at Saxony Rise was fit in between the craziness of moving into our home. Our 18 ewes, and 1 poll dorset ram were all shorn in half a day. Our 12 cross bred lambs were crutched and happily sent on their way. The floorboards was a make shift 6×4 trailer. Sometimes you just have to improvise. We decided to not pay any shearers to do our big mob! Here are some pics of shearing, Saxony Rise style!
