http://mjgsouthkorea.blogspot.com/2009/07/month-later.html
I Eat Rice for Breakfast. When one year in Korea became two. Monday, July 6, 2009. There hasn't been too much excitement in Gwangju since my last post. I know it's been a month, but life here is so cruz-y that I don't really think I'm doing anything out of the ordinary if I go anywhere out of town. Plus, the countdown is on: 23 days until China. I'll post again soon, since it's already late and I've gotta hit the hay for early tennis tomorrow morning. Talk to ya later! China will be soooo amazing!

http://mjgsouthkorea.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
I Eat Rice for Breakfast. When one year in Korea became two. Friday, May 1, 2009. It's Been a Long Time Coming. Also, notice in the dragon's mouth there's a ball. If you've ever heard of the cartoon Dragon Ball Z, this is the dragon ball that the name is referring to. And that wasn't all. We made it back safely and didn't drive our driver too crazy.or so we hope. Unfortunately, I didn't capture the moment, but I think leaving it to the imagination will sum it up quite nicely. :). Peace and love,.

I Eat Rice for Breakfast: Seoul...3rd Time's a Charm
http://mjgsouthkorea.blogspot.com/2009/06/seoul3rd-times-charm.html
I Eat Rice for Breakfast. When one year in Korea became two. Saturday, June 6, 2009. Seoul3rd Time's a Charm. Seoul is one of those cities that surprises you every single time you visit it. The fact that this metropolis is the largest city in Korea probably helps that fact along, as well as the internationality of the place, but I'm still surprised at all the nooks and crannies that this city holds. Do you want a latte? Made it feel almost like home. Thats awesome that you were on a set!

That would be the time when the summer rush of new people is arriving. Which also means that this is the time when you realize that all the friends you make when you're travelling are transitory and will leave you at random moments of the year. One thing I love most about travelling is that it causes you to connect to people quickly and firmly. Sure, the fo...

http://thekimchichronicles.blogspot.com/2010/10/being-left-handed-in-korea.html
Postcards from Kimchi Land (Van's photos). Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Being Left-handed in Korea. Being left-handed in Korea is an interesting concept. A survey. I have never had quite the reaction to being a lefty as I have here. At school, upon starting a lesson with a new group of students, they marvel at how I write on the board: "Teacher! In Korean culture, you always give and accept items from others with either two hands or with your right hand braced by your left. For me, I'm used to doing a ...

The Kimchi Chronicles: Food Cravings...
http://thekimchichronicles.blogspot.com/2013/03/food-cravings.html
Postcards from Kimchi Land (Van's photos). Tuesday, March 12, 2013. The closer I get to going home, the more I start thinking about what foods I am looking forward to eating again. Korea has welcomed a lot of new foods and avenues of cooking in the past few years, but there are still a few things that it doesn't have just yet. And while I've become used to the Korean version of Chinese food, what I wouldn't give for some "American food court style" Chinese, complete with egg rolls and spicy mustard. ...
