Where sauerkraut meets collard greens. March 31, 2011. Today I started a three day juice cleanse, and I'm alternating between acceptance and freak-out. The freak-outs are a result of my fear of failure. I'm not concerned that I'll wake up one day surrounded by a half-eaten cheese pizza, but that I'll cave and have a salad. I've ever been a great one for self control, so the thought of not chewing solely because I've decided not to chew scares me. So this is what I'll be having for the next three days:.

Teammate in site; bouncing with excitement before my first leg. While the running was fun,. We were all happy to be done with our legs when we finished them. The oppressive heat was a common post-run topic of conversation. We ran through some beautiful (and hilly) parts of Wisconsin and Minnesota. Sunset on Lake Pepin. A Wee Bit Knitty.

Friday, January 4, 2013. A trip to the mountain. These photos don't do our trip to Mt. Hood justice. The sky was so blue, the sun warm, and the air cold. When I walked through the woods all sounds except the creaking of the trees disappeared into a snowy silence. I hope we go again soon; I haven't had my fill of that snow silence yet. Especially on a day where the temp is 41C here. I dont know what those trees are but they sure look pretty and different from ours. Like lots of Christmas trees.

Thursday, September 6, 2012. After a summer of much laziness, I finally finished this little sweater. Pink and green - when you have little boys, it's always a thrill when someone has a girl. I think the buttons look a little bit like watermelon seeds. I found them in Gramma Joy's sewing basket. Hurray for vintage! You did a great job on this.
