A place to chronicle my journey in papercrafts. Friday, July 9, 2010. Excitement is in the air (or at least the UPS truck! Happy Friday, my scrappy friends! I'm back, and though it's been a long week, I'm starting to feel a little normal again! Thank you all for your condolences and kind words! Mema's Memoirs: Saling Home!
http://memasmemoirs.blogspot.com/2015/06/saling-home.html
Every day is a memory in the making. Wednesday, June 17, 2015. It's Friday and we are sailing back to Galveston. We will arrive there around 8:00 am Saturday morning and get ready to disembark. Today we sat out by the Adults only pool. Just means there were no children under 18 and more people our age.(and size). Cozy and I got in the pool and exercised a little. Then we all four sat in our chairs for a while and read. Very relaxing. Smooth sailin' all the way! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://memasmemoirs.blogspot.com/2015/06/the-big-hunt-2015.html
Every day is a memory in the making. Sunday, June 14, 2015. The Big Hunt, 2015. One of the biggest outreach events that our church does is the annual Big Hunt for our church and community. Hundreds of people come and enjoy great food, fun and fellowship. I think there were about 8,000 eggs with candy out on the field for the children to pick up. Ready, set, go, Ava! After church, we had Easter lunch at our house on Sunday with an Easter Egg Hunt in the backyard. He is risen. He is risen, indeed!

Mema's Memoirs: May 2014
http://memasmemoirs.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Every day is a memory in the making. Monday, May 12, 2014. It's May and it's another birthday month.actually every month except January and September are birthday months for somebody in our family. We drove down on Friday, the 9th and after enduring an enormous amount of traffic when we got to Houston (6:00 drive time and holiday weekend) plus a huge downpour of rain, we arrived around 6:30. Doug already had burgers and hot dogs grilled and we sat down with them for a delicious dinner. On Monday, Wendy t...

http://memasmemoirs.blogspot.com/2015/06/happy-birthday-ava-and-haven.html
Every day is a memory in the making. Monday, June 15, 2015. Happy Birthday, Ava and Haven! Congratulations to my incredible daughters-in-law for planning and pulling off a great dual birthday party for their daughters! Way to go Heather and Lindsay! Of course, Gavin found a snake on their walk to the stream. The minute he saw that snake, his shoes were off and he was going for it. A lesson in how to know it is not poisonous and to NOT pick up any snake. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am married to...

Mema's Memoirs: School's Almost Out!
http://memasmemoirs.blogspot.com/2015/06/schools-almost-out.html
Every day is a memory in the making. Sunday, June 14, 2015. It's getting close to the end of the school year and the kids have their field trips and class programs. This is Cael's kindergarten program. It was a patriotic theme and Aaron Pearson, the police officer who was shot on duty and been recovering for several months, was in attendance and they honored him. His wife is a teacher at this school. Lindsay sang a song in his honor and did a beautiful job. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Mema's Memoirs: Can it Be? Lucas is really 16 years old!!
http://memasmemoirs.blogspot.com/2015/06/can-it-be-lucas-is-really-16-years-old.html
Every day is a memory in the making. Sunday, June 14, 2015. Lucas is really 16 years old! Lucas's birthday is May 3 and Micah's birthday is May 20, so usually Gary and I go to Houston on Mother's Day. We can spend the holiday with Wendy and it's right in the middle of the boys' birthdays and we can celebrate both. Then Doug and Wendy got home on Saturday and that evening we went to Taste of Texas to celebrate Lucas's birthday. Oh my word! Those are the best steaks we have ever tasted. The Big Hunt, 2015.
