The initial public offering was $20 Thursday night, and rose to $28 Friday(40 percent) at opening bell. After rising to $31, the price settled at $26.11 at close. This values the three-year-old company at $16.5 million. The offering for Groupon is $700 million, the largest for an internet company in the United States since Google.
