Horses of Follywoods: August 2015
http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 05, 2015. Summer is upon us full force. That means I am not even trying to ride. Instead, I am swimming every day and since the Lazy River at my pool now allows us to walk inside our tubes, I am walking. Today, I waterwalked for just a bit over and hour and then swam for another half hour. So, short post for now. The lazy hazy days of summer are upon us. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Horses of Follywoods: July 2015
http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 20, 2015. No, Wait, It's Not. Keeping My Promise Not to Complain. Yes, it's hot. Temperatures are nearly at 100F here in New Jersey. But I swore after the past winter I was not going to complain about the heats. So I'm not complaining. I am just noting that it's hot. The house was relatively comfortable because the AC had been working all night. But here in the country, no electricity means no water. Again, not an issue short term as I have bottled water, but what about the horses? Power was...

Horses of Follywoods: April 2015
http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Nice Weather, But No Riding. Not too sure why, but I haven't ridden since the last time. Part of it is because the muscle in my hip is hurting. I think I need to see the doctor to find out if that pin is causing a problem. Don't like to think about that as it could require more surgery. On the other hand, I would like to get rid of some of the pain. Not to worry. The Boys are not neglected. The other two Boys are on the chubby side, so it's hard to judge when I make a comparison.

Chance is Back in His Shoes. Still, it could be related to the stretching I'm doing. On the book front. I have just published Honor's Way. Up to Kindle. The paperback will be ready in a day. I'm just having a little trouble getting the cover the way I want it. Amazon Publishing is great. They get back to...I got tired o...

Horses of Follywoods: December 2014
http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. To One And All. Saturday, December 27, 2014. S-h-h-h, Don't Say It Too Loudly. I'm Holding My Breath. Nearly two months ago, my vet was out for fall shots. As you may recall, he gave Chance in injection of Osphos, a new drug just released in the US for treating navicular disease. I has be used under the name of Tildrin in Europe for some time with good results. The ground was soft, so I decided to try a couple lunging circles anyhow. On the left. Sound. On the right, Sound.

Horses of Follywoods: November 2014
http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. Weather This or Whether That. Will It Ever Make Up Its Mind? The Boys are naked again. The temperature was up into the 50'sF today and will be again tomorrow. Some time early this morning, another weather front came through to chase out the frigid Arctic air to replace it with warmer breezes. Times like this, it's good the Boys are in the back yard. I can go out and change their outfits almost at will. Well, sort of. The dire predictions for my area never came true. By the ...

Horses of Follywoods: January 2015
http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 31, 2015. No, Not the Horses. Too darn cold for my old bones to try riding right now. I used to be out in the saddle in all kinds of weather and actually relished the days when the frozen ground was covered in a nice layer of snow. Well, that's the old days. Now with my hip still not fully stretched for the saddle and a body not at all fit, I'm just hanging out inside, waiting for Spring thaw. Works the arms, back, and legs. Hay bale weight? Then there's the feed. Once again, eleven...

Horses of Follywoods: September 2014
http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 29, 2014. Microsoft Word Had a Mind of Its Own. OK, so I think I have finally formatted Kingdom Beyond the Rim. The way I want it. It has only taken me hours and hours of battle with MS Word 2007 to get it right. Even when I go into outline view I can't figure out what the program is doing to my files. Ah, well, all is a learning curve. Once I master all the techniques things should go more smoothly for future volumes. I have ordered a proof copy of Honor's Way. The Proof Copy is Here!

Horses of Follywoods: Favors and Promises
http://follywoods.blogspot.com/2015/07/favors.html
Sunday, July 12, 2015. If I tell someone I will do something, I rarely go back on my word. The only exceptions would be a dire emergency I had not anticipated. I wish things worked both ways. This is typical of what seems to keep happening to me when I get into the "Sure, I'll do you a favor" situations. All the "harrowquest" was for naught. Case #2. I got a panicked call from another friend. Did I have a cage to hold a cat for a few days? The day passed, the night passed, another day passed and there th...
