LeahaTri's - SwimBikeRunEatSleep: January 2009
http://leahatris.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 18, 2009. On Top of the World. What an amazing weekend I had! So they all headed down the mountain. One very nice guy stayed back with me. He gave me some pointers on how to traverse the slope. I started down and realized that I could not do a turn in the trees. So I fell! I was high as a kite all night. Second, I think I'm an adrenaline junkie! Wednesday, January 14, 2009. I did a triathlon yesterday! I swam before work, did bike class and then ran with Mark N. My legs were pretty ti...

LeahaTri's - SwimBikeRunEatSleep: August 2008
http://leahatris.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 29, 2008. Rough couple of days. I did not get much training done this week as I've been battling a flu-like thing for a few days. Whatever it was had me in bed every night this week before my daughter. I'm on the mend now though, feeling much better today. Wondering how my three lost days of training will affect my race though. Thanks Keith for your offer to ride with me. Next season for sure! Only two more weeks! Tuesday, August 26, 2008. Ode to my knee. Monday, August 25, 2008. Mark got ...

LeahaTri's - SwimBikeRunEatSleep: November 2008
http://leahatris.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 25, 2008. Leaha the Lazy Blogger :). Boy, I'm not too good at updating my blog lately! Well, I have not been doing too much. Swimming a bit and a few runs and a bike or two per week. It's been nice, although I think it's time to step it up a bit. However, I will be without a sitter for Shannon for the next week or so. So I'll have to manage some basement bike rides. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? V=-3vcn-9yI Q&eurl=http:/ www.ironmanmuskoka.com/intro.htm. Monday, November 10, 2008. The k...

LeahaTri's - SwimBikeRunEatSleep: September 2008
http://leahatris.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 27, 2008. I ran today for the first time since the race and it was great! Nothing really hurt except for my left ankle, and it was not too bad. My body was very tired though. It feels like it's at the cellular level or something. I don't recall fatigue like this before. I've been going to sleep right after my 8 year old, until recently. :). I wore my heart rate monitor and tried to keep my HR below 145. I think the average for the run was 126. Tuesday, September 23, 2008. A couple of ...

LeahaTri's - SwimBikeRunEatSleep: October 2008
http://leahatris.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2008. Not much going on this week. I've been very lazy and sleepy for some reason. I'm blaming it on the early sunsets. :). Last Sunday I swam and brought my trainer and bike to the group ride as I was tired of the basement. On the way, my trainer fell over and broke! Too bad as it's only 1 year old. It's toast for sure as a piece of metal snapped off. As it's not fixable, I'm off to MEC this weekend to find a new one. GRRRRRR! Go Greg, Go! Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Please forgive ...

LeahaTri's - SwimBikeRunEatSleep: Back to Blogging
http://leahatris.blogspot.com/2009/05/back-to-blogging.html
Monday, May 18, 2009. I promised Keith yesterday that I'd make a blog entry. He reminded me that my last one was dated January 18th. Hmmm, well I've been busy. :). Anyway, yesterday I rode (most of) the Calgary 70.3 course with Keith and Shannon on my new bike. I love it, it's way faster on the flats than my old one. We completed 108K by my computer (107 by Keith's) and then had a small brick after. We hit 90K in 3:36 by my watch, which I was very happy with! A testament to Greg's bike workouts, I'm sure!

LeahaTri's - SwimBikeRunEatSleep: Calgary 70.3
http://leahatris.blogspot.com/2009/08/calgary-703.html
Monday, August 3, 2009. Wow, great race, well organized, especially for an inaugural event. I'll do this one again next year. So - the gory details. Well, a huge accomplishment - I did not throw up! In fact my GI issues, while still present during the run, were minimal compared to last year. More details on this later. I did not really sleep the night before the race, maybe 1.5 hours tops. So I was worried about this, but it was fine. Swim time - 52 minutes. That is 6 minutes faster than Muskoka. Especia...

The Things I Have Learned....so far: new goals
http://kachow-kelly.blogspot.com/2011/05/new-goals.html
The Things I Have Learned.so far. Our lives are inspired by the dreams we have from the earliest stages of our youth. When you combine passion and hard work, then success is always possible. While no road is every straight, dedication and persistence will always lead you to your dreams. Monday, May 30, 2011. I saw the best sign at the race on Sunday:. I run so my goals get bigger and my belly gets smaller.". How perfect is that one? My muscle mass was low-ish. What does this mean? And that my arms have a...

While no road is every straight, dedication and persistence will always lead you to your dreams. Sunday, August 22, 2010. Well, it was pretty bad. I have pictures that I will post later but that cannot be healthy to breathe in all that smoke for two days! My 4 year old sneezed from Calgary to Vernon. At my race check...
