Sam and Jams Amateur Wildlife Adventures! Sunday, 23 January 2011. Worsborough, Wuzzbura, erm, that place near Barnsley! Hello again all, today's blog is a round up of our day out at Worsborough Country Park, and my word what a day it was! We all pronounce things different, so I am sticking with the Wuzzbura one on this! 3 big walks in 3 days have made me very lazy, even with words. So as it stands our total of species seen each for the past couple of years stand like this-. The place itself revolves aro...

Linacre Blogger: December 2014
http://linacreblogger.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Welcome to my blog all about my birdwatching, wild bird ringing activities and moth recording at Linacre Reservoirs, Derbyshire; in Great Britain and abroad. Sunday, 28 December 2014. Garden birds in the snow. We've had a bit of snow here over the last few days, so I've been watching the garden intently to see if we got any different visitors. Luckily today I spotted a Song Thrush. Both very infrequent visitors to the garden. Here are a couple of pictures. 4), Collared Dove. 2), Blue Tit. 4), Tufted Duck.

The Shat Birder: January 2012
http://theshatbirder.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Birding, Rants and Musings. So why the Shat Birder? I got a bit of stick for calling my blog The Shat Birder and contrary to the jibes it is not a description! Shat is actually (believe it or not) the local name for the village in which I have lived all my life, Skelmanthorpe. And all its inhabitants by the abbreviated “Shatters”! Sunday, 15 January 2012. Once there, as with most people, the plan was to start at the top end and work our way down, finishing at the best hide for the harrier roost. The ...

Rather than show them in all their glory, this is the best of a bad bunch.of photos that is, not Waxwing's! They still make an unmistakable silhouette.

For 2015 a lot of people at the University of Sheffield worked together to get a second webcam into place to provide a panoramic view of the nest platform on top of St. George's Church. The 'double vision' proved very popular and these two webcams remain in place. Thanks go to colleagues in EFM and CiCS, in particular Ian Knowles, Paul Leman, Jim Lonsdale and Phil Riley. If you would like to know more about the birds as the season progresses, have a look at the Sheffield Peregrines blog.
