Round the Underground on an Engine – Fred T. Jane. The Romance of Modern London: III-Round the Underground on an Engine. Written and Illustrated by our Artist-Commissioner Fred T. Jane. In a short time our train rushed into the station, and a moment later we had boarded the engine. I was accommodated with a position near the left-hand tank, whence I could get an uninterrupted view ahead; but it had its drawbacks as the water in that tank was hot. Pentewan Light Railway: One month to go!
http://pentewan.blogspot.com/2014/09/one-month-to-go.html
Modelling the 3rd epoch in O14 and Scale7. The Pentewan Railway in Cornwall was possibly unique in having three* gauges in its lifetime. Christopher Hawkins built the original rai. Wednesday, 24 September 2014. One month to go! Oh dear - just one month to go! I think all my fellow O14 exhibitors have been good to go for some time, but I still have so much still to do. A 3 week holiday followed by a week weekend of working has meant no progress since my last post. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Modelling the 3rd epoch in O14 and Scale7. The Pentewan Railway in Cornwall was possibly unique in having three* gauges in its lifetime. Christopher Hawkins built the original rai. Monday, 3 November 2014. Well the day came, it happened and I'm glad it is all over. I would especially like to thank Gary, John, Mark, David and Steve for their help and support, and doing nearly all the operating. Due to a quirk in layout placement the back-room operations area proved quite an exhibit in its own right.

Modelling the 3rd epoch in O14 and Scale7. The Pentewan Railway in Cornwall was possibly unique in having three* gauges in its lifetime. Christopher Hawkins built the original rai. Sunday, 22 December 2013. Progress has been slow but I have installed parapets on the remaining two bridges and some walking boards so the PLR track gang should hopefully be a bit safer (although this was the 1950s).
