Dawn Hartigan Painting Dailies. Monday, September 23, 2013. Last week I was with some friends and I ended up taking my styrofoam plate and using it to doodle on with a ballpoint pen. I have used styrofoam lots of times with the kids at the YMCA Art Camp so I knew it would make a pretty clean print. I was happy with the results. I also spent an hour or so looking at carved stamps on Pinterest. If you aren't using Pinterest you should check it out to see if you would like it. Friday, September 20, 2013.

The assignment was based on Romare Beardon. Collage work. He used magazines and often worked in a series about one topic. Rebecca's theme was metamorphosis. Dawn Hartigan Painting Dailies. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Crape Myrtle 6" x 8" oil on canvas board. I am painting early in the morning - 7 am - 9:30 am this month. Mostly because I can not last much longer once the temps get up over 85 degrees. This is my first southern summer and it is a baptism of fire! But I really love getting up early; I have for as long as I can remember. Maybe I just am living up to my name. He is considered a living Master and a wonderful painter. Check his website out.
