Ramblings of an attempting Christ imitator. Friday, April 08, 2011. It's Really Actually Very Simple. Most compelling and amazing. Things about what Jesus came and did a few thousand years ago is really the. And the list goes on and on. At the end of the day,. After we’ve made up our own words and ways of explaining things. After we've argued over the details of what it looks like to be a Christ follower,. After we've written down all of our personal views on God and tried to put Him in a small box.

Ramblings of an attempting Christ imitator. Saturday, September 20, 2008. Nature (Humanity) vs. Nuture (Gospel). I know I promised to bring information from other sources, but I have been thinking a lot about this, and I am curious of your thoughts on the matter. Now, here is my question. We know that Fact #1 is bad and Fact #2 is what we should strive to be. Shopping for ourselves all the time. Gossiping about others knowing it is wrong. Just being a jerk, making people not want to be in your company.

Ramblings of an attempting Christ imitator. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. My Letter To All Females - Part I. The second part will be a written letter from me. This first part is a section from a book I'm reading.and I thought what the author had to say was pretty powerful and mostly accurate. The Curse Still Holds Women Captive. Centerfold, but the curse draws women into the clutches of such degrading practices because of their extreme thirst for approval. Reference: Finding Intimacy In A Love Starved World.

FaceDown: The High-Maintenance Bride of Christ
http://ryanwesley.blogspot.com/2011/02/high-maintenance-bride-of-christ.html
Ramblings of an attempting Christ imitator. Thursday, February 24, 2011. The High-Maintenance Bride of Christ. At a chapel service recently, the speaker made a statement that I never saw coming. He spoke of a TV interview with Bono and a well-known Christian leader during which Bono said something similar to, “I have no problem with Jesus, but it’s Christians I have the problem with”. Okay, maybe slightly overstated). It got me thinking: we really are. But even more importantly, we should be mindful of t...

Catching Crumbs: Jane Austen.. a life that saught passion but found it only in her imagination....
http://catchingcrumbs.blogspot.com/2008/03/jane-austen-life-that-saught-passion.html
Friday, March 28, 2008. Jane Austen. a life that saught passion but found it only in her imagination. It is easier to write down that it is to live, because we all have within us the desire to love and beloved, but isn't it worth trying? God always gives his children the good things they seek according to his good will and purpose. do we dare even seek a love that deep or real from Him? He is holding a rose in his nail pierced hand, he is holding it out to each one of us, we can choose to take it or not.

Fighting the Good Fight! Conversations about real faith in Jesus Christ in the 21st Century. Tuesday, September 30, 2008. Went to our Sectional Meeting today and had a great conversation with the other Pastors there. We always have a great time of discussion, and today's meeting was no different. We got in a conversation about growth. Which branched into the idea of quantity verses quality. Are we not only pew warmers? Jesus commanded us to GO into all the world and preach the Gospel! Tony S. Searles.

Criggle's Blog: Your Heart, Part 2...
http://criggle.blogspot.com/2010/07/your-heart-part-2.html
Gazing into the Corridor of my Mind! Wednesday, July 7, 2010. Your Heart, Part 2. We must also be careful of the Proud Heart. Pride can hinder our intimacy with God. Pride can also lead to self-reliance. I notice it in myself. Maybe you've heard people talk about how others can't do things the way that they can? I admit that I've done it. Why? Criggle's Blog: February 2011
http://criggle.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Gazing into the Corridor of my Mind! Friday, February 4, 2011. I have named the year of 2011 "The Year of Being Aware." The word aware means having or showing realization, perception, or knowledge. I was recently at a retreat with the MCM Network of pastors in Pittsburgh and a good friend of mine, Brian Bolt spoke on being aware. He said how we can be unaware of what God is going because we are so focused on doing what we think we should be doing. That hit me because that is me. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Criggle's Blog: January 2010
http://criggle.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Gazing into the Corridor of my Mind! Wednesday, January 6, 2010. 2010: The Year of Cultivating. It isn't pleasant. But in the end, it brings about growth and that makes it worth it. So get ready for all that God is going to do in 2010. And be encouraged to personally name your year. Tuesday, January 5, 2010. Now those thoughts can be taken out of context and developed into pride and a bad attitude, but in the right context should propel us. May Christ change the way we think when it comes to being a disc...
