Excuses, excuses | Gabby Grant

July 27, 2015. July 27, 2015. Anyway, I haven’t been very good at finding time to draw lately. Well, that is except for when I found myself with little else to do except tend to the youngest baby, read and draw. This, unfortunately, was because he was in hospital with a chest infection. He didn’t seem so. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Fill in your details below or click an icon to log in:. Address never made public). May your days be merry and bright…. December 16, 2015. December 16, 2015. Last year, we were staying in the Peak District, and as night fell on Christmas day, so did the snow. It was the loveliest thing. It was slightly less lovely when our car got stuck in the pub car park the next day, but you have to take the rough with the smooth in these situations, and it was worth it for the cold beauty that the snow brought to the landscape, at once stark and soft. Value Shark Milk | Gabby Grant
https://gabbygrant.wordpress.com/2012/02/16/value-shark-milk
It was a very strange dream. That is all I will say. But only ‘value’ shark milk? Money must have been really tight in my dream, or shark milk must have been really expensive. I quite like trying to reproduce things I remember from my dreams, but I have trouble catching the weird atmosphere you get in dreams, that peculiar sense both of claustrophobia, and of infinite, twisted possibilities. February 16, 2012. February 16, 2012. Well, just check out that tumbleweed. One thought on “ Value Shark Milk.

Goodbye Sir Terry | Gabby Grant
https://gabbygrant.wordpress.com/2015/03/13/goodbye-sir-terry
March 13, 2015. March 13, 2015. The first Terry Pratchett I ever read was (I suppose appropriately for such news) Mort, and I remained hooked on Terry Pratchett’s books for the next 25 years, and shall do for as many years as I’ve got left. It was so damn funny! But I like funny books. It took a long while to realise why unlike many others, Pratchett’s books lodged in my brain and refused to leave. Most of all, there was the palpable sense of anger that rose from that care for humanity, and a desire for ...

Throgs Neck Bridge | Wake Up And Live
https://wakeupandlive.wordpress.com/2009/05/26/throgs-neck-bridge
Skip to search - Accesskey = s. Wake Up And Live. By Sarah Skeen on May 26, 2009. We drive over this bridge every single weekend when we go to visit Seths father Stan who is dying of cancer. It’s a beautiful bridge but I wish I didn’t have to cross over it so often. Every time we cross it means we are closer to the end. Tagged with: black and white. Laquo; Blue Eyed Grass. Tentacle Car | Gabby Grant
https://gabbygrant.wordpress.com/2014/05/09/tentacle-car
May 9, 2014. As it says in the title: it’s a car, with tentacles. It’s the nearest I could get to the image that drifted very briefly across my mind whilst I was dropping off to sleep. I have some quite nice/odd ideas that way, and dreams provide a few more, when I can remember them (see Value Shark Milk. But I’ve always thought that I wasn’t that keen on doing a whole drawing on there from start to finish. But apparently I am, which is nice. To sleep to sleep perchance to dream.
