One thing I have definitely seen suggested in books on ADHD is how important something like spirituality or even just regular mediation can be in self-management. Of course, like any non-medication solution for helping with ADHD, it is beneficial to many without as well. It's why I'm so happy with my new job too, there's just enough structure there, and very little actual requirements, that the occasional missing of something goes by OK.
