Will I ever get it done….? | My Sporadic Sewing
https://scatterkat.wordpress.com/2011/11/16/will-i-ever-get-it-done
An attempt to make inroads into my fabric stash! Will I ever get it done…? November 16, 2011. A close friend of mine has just found out that her husband has cancer. At the very least, he will be spending the next 12 months going through chemo, radiotherapy, and surgeries. Or else he will be classed as being for palliative care only, which may be the case in the end anyway. But will my desire to do this project ever be enough to motivate me to get it done? Filed under Project Discussions. Maybe you will h...

An attempt to make inroads into my fabric stash! Patchwork Bag – Part Two. November 10, 2011. On the photo below, I have labelled the seams that need to be matched up. Basically, the two edges (the labelled ones) get stitched together in a manner that carries on the staggered format of the patchwork strips. The edges need to be lined up, right sides together, so that the corresponding letters match up. Now to begin creating the base. Line up the points on the bottom of the bag as shown below. An attempt to make inroads into my fabric stash! Knickers In A Twist. November 11, 2011. 8220;Mum, I’ve run out of knickers again! 8221;, has been the catch cry of my daughter over the last few months. How can a drawer full of knickers simply disappear into nowhere? Jalie make the majority of their patterns in a huge range of sizes, from toddler to larger adult, all in one pattern. So I could make my daughter and myself some knickers using just the one pattern. The Jalie 2564 makes provisions for using f...

October 15, 2012. It’s nearly a whole year since I last wrote in my blog. Shame on me lol 😉. Well, things have certainly changed a lot since then. But where to start…. I could start by saying I ditched the psychotherapy, and have never regretted it. I could say that I never made it to the ADHD specialist appointment, and I do regret that, to a degree. I could say that my daughter has now also been diagnosed with ADHD. But I guess I’d rather look at the positives. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You are comm...

Brain Fry | gottakeeptalking

November 4, 2011. Well, I haven’t felt like blogging much this last week. My medical “stuff” has got me all tied up in knots, and for a few days I really wasn’t faring well. Most of the appointment was spent covering ground we had been over before, just to make sure I understood (! Then we made a start. And the doc was right. My symptoms did get worse. I ran a red light later that day. It had been amber on my approach, so it had only just gone red, but the fact that I didn’t even notice...That attitude (...

The Irony Of It All…. November 16, 2011. This has been a turbulent week. I was enrolled, by work, in a training session called “Respecting Patient Choices”. The training for it is this coming Monday, and prior to this I am supposed to complete 6 online training modules. Who is their preferred medical “proxy”, EPOA, EPOG? What is most important to them as they die – being pain free, being aware, having somebody there, dying alone, being at home, being in hospital or hospice? And thanks to this stupid trai...

November 11, 2011. What is it about phone calls that turns my blood cold? I always thought I was weird, but reading the forums at TotallyADD. Shows me that I am not alone by a long shot. There are many people there who suffer the same affliction. And you know that if you wish to resurrect a mistake, then you have to face another phone call and go through the explanation of “I just called and….”, which is SO NOT HAPPENING! It’s a losing battle. The Irony Of It All…. Phone Call Phobia" (2). You are comment...

Uncertainty | gottakeeptalking
https://gottakeeptalking.wordpress.com/2011/12/14/uncertainty
December 14, 2011. I must admit that I have seen cognitive issues in patients who have had traumatic events in their lives that they did not deal with successfully at the time, but we are talking major events, often multiple, in patients with prior psychiatric issues. And they are not commonly seen. My cognitive issues seem to be bigger than my history would explain, in my opinion. And I did eventually end up with a female role model and peer support that enabled me to grow and develop more as a female.

Scatter Joy Photos - Photography by Naphtalie Joy Joiner
ABOUT SCATTER JOY PHOTOS. Scatter Joy Photos is based on Ralph Waldo Emerson's coined phrase "Scatter Joy." After I realized how much "joy" daily I gain from photography, I decided I want to share that joy with others through my photographs. So in an effort to live out my passion for photography, I hope to scatter joy with you and the rest of the world! And just maybe through the joy you gain from my work, you might be able to scatter some joy as well! Scatter Joy Photos Photographer. 2015 SmugMug, Inc.

"Scatter Joy" The Film...
Scatter Joy" The Film. Wednesday, June 10, 2015. What does it really mean to be "legally blind"? An insight into a lack of sight. So many times I have told people: "I am legally blind". But if I am honest, even I don't really know what that means. I am not completely blind. That is obvious. Painfully, sometimes even more so when people see me drawing. An eye doctor once told me it is all about 1/20. For every metre I can see, most people can see twenty. Accents & brightly coloured hair. In some areas (li...

- Scatterkill
The Scatterkill range of products are granules and flakes that are scattered around the garden to combat pest and weed problems. The Spray-Kill range of products are concentrated liquid formulations that are diluted by the consumer before use, and are designed to combat a variety of pests found in the garden. Both Scatterkill and Spray-Kill contain low levels of active ingredients and are therefore not harmful to the environment or to birds and animals. They are however toxic to bees and fish.
Scatter Kindness
Tuesday, 17 April 2012. We asked people to donate craft items such as glue, scissors, Playdoh etc that we could give to the Play Team. My girls also donated their Easter money to add to the supplies too. Like at most other hospitals the Play Team are reliant on charitable donations and were over the moon with our contributions. It is definitely something we will do again in the future. A Christmas Crafternoon The Result. Saved the day and took a few shots for me to share! Liberty Baubles' by Ted and Agnes.
