Som noget nyt kan SCCAP nu tilbyde en algeforsøgspakke til brug i gymnasiet. Pakken er udviklet af Linn Damsgaard (Biologisk Inst., KU), som del af et bachelorprojekt i didaktik, og er opbygget ud fra teorierne om undersøgelsesbaseret undervisning og et konstruktivistisk læringssyn. Det overordnet tema er forurening, mere specifikt forurening med næringssalte, og grønalgen. Pakken indeholder 10 mL starter kultur, 3 dyrknings-flasker, 5 engangspipetter. Bestilling ikke muligt pt.

Scandinavian Culture Collection of Algae and Protozoa, som hører under Biologisk Institut ved Kbh. Universitet, blev oprettet i1986 som følge af anbefalinger fra et internationalt ekspert panel som evaluerede dansk hydrobiologisk forskning. Disse anbefalinger blev imødekommet af det Naturvidenskablige fakultet ved Københavns Universitet of og Statens Naturfaglige Forskningsråd. Arter, findes stadig i samlingen. SCCAP ledes af kurator Gert Hansen. Samlingens diversitet af forskellige algegrupper.

SCCAP is an integrated part of the Phycology Laboratory at the Department of Biology, University of Copenhagen, and welcomes visiting scientists for shorter or longer periods. The SCCAP very much appreciate depositing of new strains. We are particular interested in strains that are authentic, harmful, biotechnological interesting, originate from extreme habitats, etc. Strains should 'pure' i.e. free from other eukaryotes. All deposited strain will be given a SCCAP number, be public available and cannot be withdrawn from SCCAP by the depositor. The Scandinavian Culture Collection of Algae and Protozoa at the University of Copenhagen was initiated in 1986 as an outcome of the recommendations by an international panel evaluating 'Danish Hydrobiology'. The recommendation was supported by the Science Faculty at the University of Copenhagen and the Danish National Science Foundation. Spp, are still maintained in the collection.
