A collection of art. Inspiration Wednesday - Unicorn Girl. On Sunday, May 17, 2015 in art journal. Week 9 of Inspiration Wednesday started out as a hot mess for me, but eventually inspired the title :D My first layer of color was just too much color, too bright, and frankly I almost gesso'd over the whole thing and started over. But, I kept going, working to layer and tone down the rainbow of layer one, and I'm glad I did. So what the title "Unicorn Girl"? In this case, I think the exercise was a success.

This week introduced a new paint called VerDay, which allows you to turn your art surface into a patina. Very cool. I think I will try and use this stuff again, and really play with it now that I know a bit more about how it reacts. Honestly - give it a try and have fun! Once Upon a Time. Friday, October 28, 2011. This Week in Afternoon Roxaboxen. This week we have continued discussing sound in addition to our other 5 senses. We went on a "sound walk" where we discussed what we heard inside the classroom, and then outside of the classroom. They were listening to the "crumbling leaves!
