Scheidel Scholars in Jacksonville. There are currently on average more than 80 Jacksonville-area students attending either the University of North Florida or Florida State College at Jacksonville annually. The Scheidel Scholarship is available to residents or high school graduates of selected local organizations within the Jacksonville community. Some organizations include: Beaches Habitat for Humanity, Habitat St. Johns, PACE Center for Girls, The Foundation Academy, and Children’s Home Society.
