We got us a family here!: More of Summer
http://wegotourselvesafamily.blogspot.com/2015/07/summer-updates.html
We got us a family here! Friday, July 24, 2015. I don't dare play them, I know they'll whip my tail. At some point, I need to give them that joy I suppose. It was exciting but quite low, and they didn't like our counter offer (which was our lowest possible). Still, it was promising and was feeling good until the meanie-pants renters put the kibosh on progress. Their favorite passtime, it seems. So, we wait. Bidding war, anyone? Adam's Virtual Linen Closet: On personal revelation and responsibility
http://adamotchi.blogspot.com/2012/02/thoughts-on-personal-revelation-and.html
Adam's Virtual Linen Closet. Ad-uhmz 'vur-choo-uhl 'lin-uhn 'kloz-it] noun: a closet full of linens and other random essentials. Sunday, February 12, 2012. On personal revelation and responsibility. Here's another gem from Hugh B. Brown (to BYU students and faculty):. I like this one too (also from H.B.B.):. So what happens when a persons own personal revelation is in contradiction to official Church doctrine? I think its a little bit of a false sense of freedom. Its easy for the Church to tell peopl...

We got us a family here!: May 2015
http://wegotourselvesafamily.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
We got us a family here! Thursday, May 28, 2015. A truck he never plays with, suddenly fascinating. Can I go back there? Into the poison ivy? We usually do a playgroup on Wednesdays, but since his birthday was on a Thursday, our sweet friends kindly adjusted and came to play today instead. It wasn't a full on party (I'm not great with those), but it was just as good. There were cupcakes, strawberries, friends, and toys. And I got some nice mommy chat time - major bonus! This boy was so. Links to this post.

We got us a family here!: August 2015
http://wegotourselvesafamily.blogspot.com/2015_08_01_archive.html
We got us a family here! Sunday, August 23, 2015. That Time We All Sang In Church. Well, we did it. And it wasn't even a disaster. In fact, it turned out to be rather a gem of a family experience. In the two weeks leading up to our performance of "Teach Me to Walk in the Light", I nearly canceled several times. It seemed an insurmountable feat to get my boys, who refuse to sing the hymns in church, and who I could barely get on board for a practice, to sing in front of people. When the moment of truth ca...

Adam's Virtual Linen Closet. Ad-uhmz 'vur-choo-uhl 'lin-uhn 'kloz-it] noun: a closet full of linens and other random essentials. Friday, September 06, 2013. Oh what sweet release. He bends it to his pleasure. Now; it bends. As if on furrowed brow. The years so tender. The mark he made. The pang, the chill. It calls out for a love. Betrayed; it calls. Upon the mark he made. Adam's Virtual Linen Closet: The ease of celibacy
http://adamotchi.blogspot.com/2011/11/ease-of-celibacy.html
Adam's Virtual Linen Closet. Ad-uhmz 'vur-choo-uhl 'lin-uhn 'kloz-it] noun: a closet full of linens and other random essentials. Monday, November 28, 2011. The ease of celibacy. The following is a conversation I had with a man on facebook:. I would submit that living a celibate life *is* a very difficult thing we are asking of our homosexual brothers and sisters and church leaders have conceded as much. Marlin K Jensen of the seventy puts it this way:. Ive lost count of the number of times Ive heard some...

Adam's Virtual Linen Closet: To agree or not to agree: that is NOT the question
http://adamotchi.blogspot.com/2011/04/to-agree-or-not-to-agree-that-is-not.html
Adam's Virtual Linen Closet. Ad-uhmz 'vur-choo-uhl 'lin-uhn 'kloz-it] noun: a closet full of linens and other random essentials. Sunday, April 17, 2011. To agree or not to agree: that is NOT the question. The following is a conversation I had (via blogging) with someone who had blogged about Harry Reid, calling him "Dirty" and "Dusty" and an "embarrassment" to his faith. You stated in your post: "I personally can't stand Mr. Reid, or anything that he stands for.". Have you met the man? No I will lift the...

Adam's Virtual Linen Closet: The Fig Newton®: A fig? A cookie? A cake? Or something else entirely?
http://adamotchi.blogspot.com/2012/02/fig-newton-fig-cookie-cake-or-something.html
Adam's Virtual Linen Closet. Ad-uhmz 'vur-choo-uhl 'lin-uhn 'kloz-it] noun: a closet full of linens and other random essentials. Tuesday, February 14, 2012. The Fig Newton: A fig? Or something else entirely? I think youre right. Putting statements into context almost always changes the original meaning of the statement. But understanding the context of a statement doesnt automatically mean we can or should use that statement (in context) in a different context or a similar situation. Can life get better?

We got us a family here!: 4th of July Weekend
http://wegotourselvesafamily.blogspot.com/2015/07/4th-of-july-weekend.html
We got us a family here! Sunday, July 5, 2015. 4th of July Weekend. I wonder if I'll ever get used to D.C. being a day trip distance away. It's just so cool. At some point we should get to know our more local sites better, like say, Shenandoah National Park - which we've only been to once - or venture off to Williamsburg. We'll get there. Yeah, so I can't resist a little FBI shot. I asked: "What do you think, is that appropriate? My mom and quilts. There's quite a history. Loved by many, our boys. The bo...
