Saturday, May 25, 2013. Saturday, May 18, 2013. Isobel is doing great! She is working hard at sitting up on her own, playing peekaboo, and working on sign language along with her speaking valve. She is now off the vent until midnight each day. Next week we will try a week of off the vent until 2 am and assuming that all goes fine we get to take it away completely. Saturday, April 5, 2014. Ill have a moment of honesty-I dont like it one bit. It makes the picture less clear. Its hard to explain why that is to anyone who doesnt have the Isobel symptoms and checks in their head. It makes sense some recent episodes were seizures and I get the statistics with kids with shunts. It answers lots of recent things we have seen. I still dont have to like it. Monday, May 19, 2014. Ok so this post is a month overdue! Alexis turned 2. It was great fun to have her first second birthday as we called it. Our first time to celebrate the birth of this little girl who God has placed in our care. We are so blessed! She has been wearing her speaking valve ALL DAY for the past month. We have amazing friends. Our friend Leah made Alexis' smash cake for her birthday! One of Alexis' present has been a family favorite with the bubble machine! They all love it!
