Chris and Lori on the road. Friday, November 25, 2011. Detour to Tehri and the Mountains. The original town of Tehri (50,000 people) was flooded to make a huge dam on the Bhagirathi River. The lake that was created is 43 kilometers long and 850 meters deep and the dam is one of the largest in the world. The people that were displaced were moved up the mountain to 'New Tehri' which overlooks the beautiful lake that covers the entire old town. Chris and Lori on the road. Tuesday, September 30, 2014. 2014 South America on Motos. 160; Here we are 12 days into this adventure and it is already amazing. Rode quickly through Canada and the USA as only have 6 months this time so want to spend as much of it in Mexico and south as possible. Have already booked the Stahlratte for Dec 8th for the crossing to Colombia, so pressure on to get to Panama City by then. Crossing into Mexico at Ajo was uneventful except now they take a 400USD deposit for any.

Chris and Lori on the road. Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Was wandering around today and found some snacks in the market. Savory deep fried cockroaches. I think I will give it a pass. A big gecko .10 inches long has taken up residence in our bungalow. This is probably why we haven't seen any critters living in all the cobwebs.
