Sunday, February 27, 2011. Here is Brian learning to read (May 2008) [note: when our camera only took short videos]. And, here's Jenna yesterday, with the same book:. Brian got a "voice changer" toy that looks like a toy cell phone; but, it's pretty much cheap junk so only works for about 30 seconds before you have to open it up and jiggle the batteries. Saturday, January 15, 2011. Fun with Snow, Friends, and Legos. Brian was happy to get Darth Vader's Tie Advance for Christmas from his cousins and aunt and uncle:. The snow we got last week was so powdery it didn't pack at all. So, the kids pushed it into piles and jumped into the piles as if they were jumping in leaf piles. It was hard to get a good picture:. Wednesday, December 29, 2010. We took advantage of Christmas break and headed to the Omaha Zoo again. We got to hold baby alligators (they had grown since last time! A pink belly side neck turtle, and a snake. We later got to watch a rattlesnake get transferred from one enclosure to another using special snake-handling hooks.
