The last year CCSD bought this bus was in 1994 (the Handy Bus). Then they kept buying shorter versions of the Thomas Saf-T-Liner EF and Blue Bird TC/2000. This bus was mainly used for Kindergarten and Special Education transportation. I don't see this bus as much as I used to anymore on the streets. The smaller TC/2000 and Saf-T-Liner EF buses are used more. Location: Heading toward Stanford Elementary for afternoon pickup on Harris. Interesting Feature: One of the few buses to only have one stop arm.

This bus was only bought in an 84 capacity in 1995. But it was bought before in the smaller size (similar to the wheelchair buses below) before that time also, but they look a little different from the newer ones. The smaller sizes were used for Special Needs students mostly. 1993 Saf-T-Liner All Star EF NEW. 1994 Saf-T-Liner MVP EF. Location: Turning out of Martin Luther King Elementary. 1995 Saf-T-Liner MVP EF. Location: Arville Bus Yard. 1995 Saf-T-Liner MVP EF. Comment: Wheelchair lift (right side).

CCSD started to buy the ER model in 1997 after they bought the Saf-T-Liner MVP ER the year before that. 1997 was when they started buying buses that can carry up to 90 passengers. Location: Eldorado High School Parking Lot. Interesting Feature: Luggage compartment. Not many have those here. Location: Eldorado High School. Location: Eldorado High School Parking Lot. Comment: One of the few larger buses with a wheelchair lift. I heard they're bought so kids who get injured can ride their regular route, inclusion. The side emergency door is in a different place, usually on the 7th window here it's on the 9th like the 2005 model year for CCSD's fleet. This picture was taken March 31, 2005. Locations: Linn Lane (Front of Eldorado High School). Interesting Feature: Here, you see an HDX with its lights on. It was gloomy as you can see. Location: Mountain View Elementary.
