Monday, June 22, 2015. Our Trip to Alaska Day 1. Day 1 – Arrival in Vancouver (june 7, 2015 Clear, sunny, cool). After a four and a half hour flight from Chicago, we arrived in beautiful Vancouver. The weather was clear and in the upper 70s. Our bus driver said that the weather has been unusually clear, dry, and warm and that the residents were being advised to conserve water and to stop watering the lawns. A disappointment, especially for Hiroshi, has been the expensive internet use at .75 a minute!
