As per usual, the moving process leads me to fall off the face of the earth for a time as I am reminded of just how draining it can be. Moving week here in Madrid was complicated by an already full calendar of "life.". Did Life not get the message that we were moving? Apparently not, as parent-teacher conferences, doctor appointments, field trips, and dance recitals decided to plop themselves right down in the midst of the chaos.

Our time in Madrid is dwindling rapidly, and the time we do have left is filling in with all sorts of goings-on. Fact: I like my calendar empty. Fact: It is not empty anymore. Naturally it is the highlight of the school year for me, because driving there and back twice a day isn't quite enough. And to make tonight even more special, it has been cold and rainy all day. Have I mentioned that I have hermit-like tendencies? I like to be home. And in pajama pants. Alex had made two round lumps of clay.
