We are having some beautiful fall colors (and until today have been having beautiful fall weather) so Paul and I decided to take a day hike in the Nationalpark Eifel that is southwest of Bonn. We really had a beautiful day, and hope that we can visit again a few more times. We even got to eat lunch with two horses :). Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Where did March go? And I will have completed my Master's degree! I had a really great time visiting with family and friends back home in Appleton, although there is never enough time to get everything done! Paul has been really busy at work, had one article accepted to Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, and another is in the works! Our friend Yannick met us for another vacation together, and we had a great time. Enjoy the photos and videos of our recent travels below!

Sunday, July 3, 2011. Benny and Verena's Polterabend. Our friends Benny and Verena are getting married this week; and on Friday, we were invited to their Polterabend. This was a first for us, and we did not know what to expect exactly. We did know that everyone was supposed to bring dishes to break at the party.There is a saying in German " Scherben bringen Glück".
