Trail 4 Success Blog: Electricity Scavenger Hunt - Science Activity
http://trail4success.blogspot.com/2013/03/electricity-scavenger-hunt-activity-i.html
Saturday, March 9, 2013. Electricity Scavenger Hunt - Science Activity. I created an electricity scavenger hunt to get my students thinking about the many ways electricity is used in their homes. It requires them to think about the power source (battery power or AC power), and also gets them thinking about energy transformations. Great to use as an independent homework assignment or as a partner activity with a parent. Check it out at: http:/ bit.ly/15EleFm. Posted by Tom Wier. Mar 14, 2013, 7:39:00 AM.

http://twirlybirdteaching.blogspot.com/2012/12/we-love-hot-chocolate-math-motivator.html
Saturday, December 8, 2012. We Love Hot Chocolate {Math Motivator}. Most of my chickadees struggle with knowing their basic math facts (and I can tell their isn't a whole lot of practice going on at home). To motivate them to practice and learn their facts I came up with the Hot Cocoa Challenge. After they have earned 3 marshmallows for their cup, they earn a cup of hot cocoa. After 5 marshmallows, they will earn cookies and cocoa. 2 Leave Me a Tweet:. This is so cute! 10047; Science for Kids Blog.

Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Skypin' with Phil the Poet ( a freebie, you know it! So, I fell off the blogging bandwagon. Spring break spent in Bali sent me on holiday,. Planning for the end-of-the year neared,. Then a loss of electricity hit. My small city,. Finally report card writing commenced. And boy, how my life did get tensed. Okay, so I am a bit of a goof-ball and definitely not a poet. But my class did get to skype with one on Monday. How cool, right? What takes you away from blogging? Are you a poet?
