Who has been awarded the Chancellor's Dissertation Medal for the best dissertation for 2012-13 in the Division of Arts and Humanities. Harun defended his thesis, "Early Enlightenment in Istanbul," in August 2012. In September, he will begin a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science.
