St. Martin's Methodist Church
http://scillymethodists.co.uk/st_martins.htm
Pot pourri on St. Martin's. The Chapel with probably the best view in the world! Be still, and know that I am God. Welcome to a view of the work of the remotest Methodist Church in the connexion! We continue to witness to the love and power of God in this beautiful part of His creation. We have a membership of 13 from an island population of approx 120 and we hold a Sunday service throughout the year apart from combining with the island Anglicans once a month during the winter. Any comments or questions?
Circuit Day 2008
http://scillymethodists.co.uk/circuit_day_2008.htm
Pot pourri on St. Martin's. The churches joined on St. Agnes with several visitors on June 15th 2008. We held a service in the Anglican church and then picnicked around. The cricket field before taking part in games or going for a walk. And then returning home. This is the day the Lord has made; let us be glad and rejoice in it. St. Mary's Methodist Church history
http://scillymethodists.co.uk/st_marys_history.htm
Pot pourri on St. Martin's. St Mary's Methodist Church History. Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Len Michell has compiled an excellent history of the St. Mary's Methodist Church for the centenary in 2000. I'm sure it is still available and well worth a read. I will try and give some highlights. The traumas must have been immense. The rostrum and communion rail were moved from the Garrison Lane Wesleyan chapel and installed in the Church Str...
St. Martin's Methodist Church History

Pot pourri on St. Martin's. St Martin's Methodist Church History. It was reseated in 1876, previously there would have been benches. The small Sunday School Hall (on the left of the photo) was added in 1881. Thus this chapel stands as a tribute to the faithfulness and dedication of a group of Islanders who, despite their poverty, built a place where they could worship freely. The building is now Grade II listed which means it has to be carefully (and expensively! Be strong and courageous. Do not be t...

Lure fishing adventures in the Isles of Scilly. Thursday, 14 November 2013. A PROPER BRUTE OF A WRASSE! In watermelon candy rigged texas style and was straight into the wrasse. In watermelon and green flake and flicked it back across the entrance to the bay. First cast produced nothin...

Homeschool: and so it begins. Nov 16th, 2013 at 1:04 PM. This school year started with a couple weeks of the kids' enrichment classes. Then in the month of September a monster road trip, where we didn't do our traditional school, but learned a lot about the places we visited: historical sites and national parks. The kids also were saturated in a billingual existence for the week we visited my parents as my aunt was visiting from France. More vocab/writing, and social studies book work/geography. Diving i...
