Maestro's Musings: A Simple Praise, A Huge Praise
http://maestromusing.blogspot.com/2009/10/simple-praise-huge-praise.html
Monday, October 19, 2009. A Simple Praise, A Huge Praise. My old roomie (sadness) and friend Rachael recently posted about a simple praise. Another HUGE praise, is that I just found out that my rather sizeable hospital medical bills from this spring were paid in full through financial assistance in association with my hospital! I was hoping for a little bit of help, but in no way expected it it to be paid 100%! What a blessing. God is good! October 19, 2009 at 7:41 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Maestro's Musings: July 2009
http://maestromusing.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 6, 2009. During high school, my track coach used to assign "active rest days". These were days that we took a rest from what we normally did (running), to be active in some other sport (biking, pick-up game of soccer/frisbee/volleyball, roller blading, swimming, walking), whatever your heart desired, as long as you were active! These days were usually Sundays after a meet, which was a perfect day to rest. This past weekend, I feel like I had an active rest weekend. SPEED volleyball, Cornhole...

The New Small Talk: Lord of the Flies
http://thenewsmalltalk.blogspot.com/2012/06/lord-of-flies.html
The New Small Talk. Friday, June 15, 2012. Lord of the Flies. We have an infestation. A fly infestation. Somehow (when I say "somehow," I mean, "because I left the door open all day and there are holes in our screen"), a bunch of flies got into our house yesterday. I noticed them around lunch time, just sitting on our screen door. I didn't do anything about it. I figured I'd wait and see how it all played out. Exercise to help you get used to the mouse. I imagine that this is what it's like for Scott...

The New Small Talk: September 2010
http://thenewsmalltalk.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
The New Small Talk. Thursday, September 9, 2010. Last weekend, while on a little getaway with friends, an interesting and disturbing topic came up. It all started when I yelled at the boys to put the seat down after they used the facilities. We (the girls) needed to explain to them the painful consequences of a toilet left wide-open. Namely, that we will fall in. Clearly, that is ridiculous, but it did get me wondering why I don't check. Certainly there have been times when I have.

The New Small Talk: Superfly!
http://thenewsmalltalk.blogspot.com/2012/06/superfly.html
The New Small Talk. Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Remember how I said we were infested by flies. And remember how I thought they were disabled? Well, it seems I grossly underestimated them. It all started when my lovely Aunt Nancy bought me an over-sized fly swatter. She'd read my blog post and my pathetic cry for help regarding our lack of fly swatter. She came through with the most gigantic fly swatter I've ever seen. It's like 3 feet long. And it's pretty awesome. How many whacks was it going to take? There...

50 Years Too Late: The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Christopher Plummer's Yackin'
http://50yearstoolate.blogspot.com/2007/05/hills-are-alive-with-sound-of.html
50 Years Too Late. I missed all the good stuff. Tuesday, May 29, 2007. The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Christopher Plummer's Yackin'. Wow, I did not realize what an ornery old man Christopher Plummer is. The Sound of Music. Audio commentary. This is not to say that he isn't wildly entertaining. Christopher Plummer hates kids. He hates them because they steal his thunder, being so darn cute and all. Julie Andrews feels somewhat the same way about the kids but has the tact to not actually say it.

50 Years Too Late: July 2011
http://50yearstoolate.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
50 Years Too Late. I missed all the good stuff. Thursday, July 7, 2011. It's All in the Family. No, this isn't a post about Sabrina. A post about movie-loving genetics. My grandmother likes to talk about her mother who, in her older years, would visit her local movie theater just about every day to see the latest films. This sounds like great fun, and it's often made me wonder if all my movie-loving runs in the family. My grandmother also loves movies and is responsible for my My Fair Lady. The New Small...
