All about the kids. Sunday, December 12, 2010. The highlight of the year! So, here we are on a hay ride through the farm. We listened to how the Christmas trees are grown, and just enjoyed riding around. Here is a picture of all the kids who were in our group. They have a big sand hill and some sleds. Since we rarely get snow, this has to do. It was a lot of fun! This is from the very end after the owner brought some hay over to help give us more speed on the hill. All of the kids loved it! Harry Turtledove is known as "The Master of Alternate History" - a category of science fiction I love - so I was excited to see one of his books in a used bookstore a few months ago. Reading Books and Raising a Shepherd. Monday, January 30, 2012. Jared got me another Philip K Dick book for Christmas, Dr. Futurity. As with a lot of his stories, there's some discussion of time travel. In this novel, he basically says that if a time machine were ever to exist, it would already exist unless the person inventing it decided not to share it. Reading Books and Raising a Shepherd. Saturday, May 1, 2010. So I just finished reading Breaking Dawn. Today - I stretched it out over the last week while I was on vacation so I could enjoy it longer. Totally worth it! I loved that Bella is stronger and more sure of herself in this last book of Stephenie Meyer's teen vampire saga.
