From Caterpillar to Butterfly. Translate to my language. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Releasing our butterflies 23/6/15. Our butterflies came out of their cocoons last Saturday (3 of them) and Sunday. Teacher brought them fruit and sugared water to drink while their wings hardened. Our painted lady butterflies are beautiful. Today we went outside and released them back into the wild so they can enjoy life and have families of their own. They all flew off and we said goodbye to them. Monday, May 25, 2015.

Friday, December 19, 2014. Christmas sing along for children. Thursday, December 18, 2014. Beginners Bible - The Nativity. We went to the halla today to see two amazing Christmas plays. Ms Crotty's Junior Infants and Ms. Flaherty's Senior Infant classes each put on a Christmas play. The plays were absolutely wonderful. Such great actors, actresses and singers. Well done to both classes. We also listened to a story from Germany of the first Christmas tree. What a great story. Monday, December 8, 2014.

Thursday, 23 April 2015. Our school is working hard to achieve our Green Flag for travel. Our aim is to reduce car travel and to promote walking on the school journey. Today we had our first organised walk to school. Our first Tip Toe Thursday was a huge success. The weather was lovely, and parents and children enthusiastically walked from Mervue, Ballybane, Merlin and Renmore to be at school today. We are so proud of all who walked, cycled, scooted or skated to school today. And one class winner is.

Monday, 3 October 2016. We started off Space Week 2016 by making rocket mice. We cut out circles (after first tracing circular shapes). We made the circles into cones and stuck on ears and tails. We used empty bottles as launchers. Our rocket mice flew off into space! They used air under force to fly). We launched rocket balloons with Ms. Lally/Ms. McCaul's class. First of all we had to try and figure out a way for our balloons to fly in a straight line. This was a good idea but it didn't work too well.
