Sunday, July 31, 2011. Summer in the States. We made our first trip back home since we moved to Perth last October. We scheduled the journey around the perfect time . summer in Tulsa and 4th of July (my fav)! We stayed in Tulsa for the majority of the time, made two trips up to Grand Lake and spent a wonderfully hot, few days in Dallas. Wednesday, December 29, 2010. A Very Beachy Christmas. Christmas Day in Perth was a scorcher! High was around 37 degrees Celsius, which translates to about 98 degrees Fahrenheit. While at home in the states, everyone was enjoying 37 degrees Fahrenheit! At 37, the best way to spend the day is on the beach or in the air con. And that's exactly what we did! We rose early (who sleeps in when Father Christmas has visited? Keep in mind when you come visit, the sun is strong over here! Sunday, December 26, 2010.

Thursday, February 17, 2011. Sorry I haven't posted in a few days! We've been busy bees this month. I started my personal training school, which is going great! I'm learning a lot about muscles! I also got connected (via Ricky's colleague) to a recently-retired Olympic athlete. Paul Burgess just started his own gym after spending two decades competing in professional athletics. including the Olympics! He's a very cool guy and so is his gym! Also, the boys are home! Our fav Aussie beer is James Squire.

I've had a few requests for the Thai shrimp stir-fry recipe so I thought I'd go ahead and share :). 1 cup basmati rice. 2 tablespoons fish sauce. 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice, plus wedges for serving. 2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil. 1 pound frozen large shrimp (peeled and deveined), thawed. 1 bunch scallions, whites thinly sliced, green parts cut into 1-inch pieces.

So other than work, I haven't really done a whole lot lately. Sad huh? There is a light at the end of the tunnel though. We leave tonight for Tulsa to attend Paul and Tamara's wedding. Alex is the best man. I'm excited because I get to see my parents and float in the pool all weekend! Like that's going to happen!
