Rub of the Green: June 2011
http://rub-of-the-green.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Rub of the Green. Thursday, 30 June 2011. It kind of reminded me of my striking days. Slam a ball across goal or give me a chance to pull the trigger and more often than not I'd score or make the keeper work. Give me time to weigh up my options. Same with cricket. Pace bowler I'd react better and score better than facing a spinner. Time it seems is my enemy, reflex is my friend. 3(3), 7(5), 4(3), 6(4), -(5), 5(3), 6(5), 6(4), 5(4). Wednesday, 29 June 2011. Monday, 27 June 2011. SUCK MY BLACK ASS, BALL!

Rub of the Green: September 2011
http://rub-of-the-green.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Rub of the Green. Friday, 30 September 2011. Progress. Despite the Felixstowe debacle (the stats for which are not included) things are moving in the right direction. I'm hitting many more GIR which has had an adverse affect on my scrambling and putting stats but I'll take that as it means I am scoring better. Looking for a good showing in the Autumn Series and November medal. 200 - 250 yards. 150 – 200 yards. 100 – 150 yards. Thursday, 29 September 2011. Cleveland HiBore XLS Review. Rub of the Green: May 2011
http://rub-of-the-green.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Rub of the Green. Tuesday, 31 May 2011. As a self confessed sports nut this weekend has to rank up there as one of the best of the year. The PGA at Wentworth, Monaco Grand Prix, French Open, Champions League Final, First Test, Championship play off final and two glorious rounds of golf. Now I may have taken up residence in the kennel (and we don't even have a dog) but it has been worth it. New World Number One Luke Donald. Other highlights from this Bank Holiday are:. This weekend reaffirmed the mantra t...

Rub of the Green: April 2011
http://rub-of-the-green.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Rub of the Green. Saturday, 30 April 2011. Played in the swindle this morning and still no joy on the course. That was tempered with the news that my team had finished third in the cross country competition. To be fair that accomplishment was more down to Alex and Terry but I will still savour the shortcake biscuits and beer I won. Friday, 29 April 2011. 1 I wasn't very good but I was very competitive. 2 It usually meant that the pitches were frozen/waterlogged which meant no football for a while. Thursd...

Rub of the Green: July 2011
http://rub-of-the-green.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Rub of the Green. Sunday, 31 July 2011. 200 - 250 yards. 150 – 200 yards. 100 – 150 yards. The SS2 handicap level is a calculation made indicating your performance on different facets of your game. Good progress but time to cut out the blobs, kick on and get that handicap heading south. Saturday, 30 July 2011. So 41 points in total and potential to score much, much better. Really felt in control of the ball for long periods today and my short game was much improved (18% scramble conversion). I mi...Left ...

Rub of the Green: August 2011
http://rub-of-the-green.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Rub of the Green. Wednesday, 31 August 2011. So this month. Well practice has been understandably impacted by my job application and preparation but it was totally worth it. A massive plus point is that the limited practice time I have had this month has been enormously constructive. I’ve got to grips with my fat putter handle and the metronome has worked wonders with my tempo. I am probably striking the ball better now than I ever have. 200 - 250 yards. 150 – 200 yards. 100 – 150 yards. I have completed...
