Scorton Grammar School History Index
During my visit to UK (on 07th July 2002) I managed finally to get to see Mike Heseltine and he very kindly provided me with the Heseltine History of Scorton Grammar School which he compiled in the 60s from various sources. I have made amendments to some areas of the original draft, predominantly for context, but I do intend also to add the history from the 1960s up to the closure in the 1990s. Chapter 1 - Years of foundation 1720-1767. Chapter 2 - Years of Obscurity 1767-1863. Founders Will (& Codecil).
