I’m an amateur photographer with pretensions to be more. A motorbike accident has left me limited in my mobility but not in my mind. Though I’m restricted in how often I can leave the house I always, always carry my camera. People are my thing. I’m inspired by the likes of Don McCullen, Joe McNally, Nan Goldin and Martin Parr. June 14, 2014. The last prom before graduation. I was asked to take pictures of our friends daughter before she attended her prom. The dress had finally been sourced but only after much searching. I think she looks stunning in it. I set up strobes just inside the house but had her stand just outside. The flash filled in nicely and by pushing the shutter speed up to 1000th and the aperture to f2.8 made for great broketh. I have learned something from Joe McNally after all this time. June 16, 2014. Here I sit awaiting an xray of my back. Though my accident was sometime ago the pain is as acute as the day of my accident so we are investigating the possibility of injections and /or surgery.
