Table of Contents! | The No-Name Movie Blog

The No-Name Movie Blog. A passionate, amateur film buff raves about movies. Thus, this page! You know what a table of contents is! Lots of links below! When Criterion offered a majority of their back catalog on streaming service Hulu Plus, I jumped on board immediately. Unfortunately for me, that embarassment of riches was paralyzing. With hundreds of movies someone had gone out and vetted to include in a collection, how was I ever supposed to settle on what to watch? I rarely operate Criterion Cuts on a...

The No-Name Movie Blog. A passionate, amateur film buff raves about movies. Light Bondage is the biweekly, year long series that examines all things Bond. It’s running through all of 2012, covering everything from. Itself upon release. We cover opening songs, gadgets, and all the really dated racism and misogyny I can stomach. Hell, I even intend to write about that crazy Peter Sellers-led. Bond parody. If you want the world’s most popular secret agent, you’ve got ’em! The Eon Productions Films. Directed...

The No-Name Movie Blog. A passionate, amateur film buff raves about movies. First and foremost, an entire body of work often gives you a unique and powerful insight into a creative voice’s evolution and focus (this is very much wrapped in auteur theory, the merits of which are a debate maybe outside the scope of this series) over a lifetime. And finally, it keeps me on my toes, my queue moving, and my comfort zone and focus always shifting. But in some ways I remain more proud of it than any project since.

Dallas Detour: Much Belated One-Year Anniversary Blog Post
http://dallas-detour.blogspot.com/2012/08/much-belated-one-year-anniversary-blog.html
Chronicling my relocation from Los Angeles to Dallas. Tuesday, August 28, 2012. Much Belated One-Year Anniversary Blog Post. I missed posting my one-year anniversary here, and all I can really say is, well, life is a lot different now! I still miss a lot of what my life was like when I lived in Los Angeles, but I miss going down to the Strand for a run or a ride the most. I never thought that would be the 'thing'! I used to use the Strand. For training runs, and I'd meet the cycling team at Ballona Creek.

Chronicling my relocation from Los Angeles to Dallas. Sunday, July 24, 2011. Movies, Groceries, Living. Whoever lived here before I did didn't seem to forward their mail (since May! I've sampled a couple grocery stores in the area, although it will be a while before I have an opinion on them all. Albertsons' is about the same as it is anywhere else, although I was impressed with their cheese selection and amused by their special on "crab cheese dip". I went to Central Market. Here in both Dallas and Plan...

Dallas Detour: You Know You're Hooked on Argentine Tango When . . . .

Chronicling my relocation from Los Angeles to Dallas. Sunday, March 4, 2012. You Know You're Hooked on Argentine Tango When . . . . You start categorizing your music into the category it would fit best for dancing: tango, vals, or milonga. Silly tango joke. Anyway. . . . The one thing that's truly keeping me somewhat sane here is the tango community. Tango in Dallas is vibrant and awesome! I've been going to a couple milongas. Set of 3 or 4 songs separated by a cortina. March 4, 2012 at 8:23 PM. Thank yo...

El grito del mudo: 1996 Top 10
http://elgritodelmudo.blogspot.com/2011/03/1996-top-10.html
Y la Euro '96. 1 These days - Bon Jovi.
